Kannaway review – what you need to know

Kannaway is a network marketing company focuses on hemp oil, and especially hemp oil rich in cannabidiol or CBD, a compound found in hemp and marijuana that is purported to have a number of positive health effects.

If you are tired of the old, boring health and wellbeing MLM setup, Kannaway is definitely a step in a new direction.

Did I get on board? This explains everything:

There’s some legal ambiguity about selling CBD oil, especially in states that have not yet legalized marijuana for recreational purposes, but the upside is that there is a huge interest in CBD and hemp products generally.

While popular interest in Kannaway itself has been fairly flat over the last several years, the same is not true for the products it sells.

Search engine traffic for relevant terms, like CBD, cannabidiol, and hemp oil are all trending upward.  Way upward. Barring a huge legal crackdown, the market for cannabis-related products is only going to expand over the next decade, and now is as good a time as any to get in on it.

Products

Kannaway sells all sorts of hemp oil products, from health salves to sublingual sprays, but by far the hottest products are going to be their hemp oil and CBD supplements, as well as their CBD-rich hemp oil vaporizer.

CBD is a cannabinoid, meaning it is one of the biologically active compounds in marijuana.  Unlike the more famous THC, however, CBD is not known to be psychoactive—meaning you don’t get high from it.  It does have a wide range of potential medical applications, though; hence its rapidly increasing popularity.

According to a 2009 scientific review article published in the journal Phytotherapy by researchers in Italy, a substantial body of research has connected cannabidiol to beneficial effects when it comes to treating conditions ranging from epilepsy to anxiety to movement disorders.

On top of this, there is quite a bit of research (thanks to anti-drug efforts) that searched for negative side effects of CBD, only to come up empty-handed.

Of course, as it is not FDA-approved, you can’t legally market CBD as a direct treatment for any of these conditions, but the weight of the evidence is sobering—when compared to other supplements sold by MLMs, cannabidiol is exceedingly effective, very well-researched, and tremendously safe.

Ironically, it is this product, and not the wide range of poorly-researched, likely ineffective, and possibly dangerous herbal extracts that are being demonized by federal regulators.

As with any marijuana-related product, the legal side of things gets a little tricky.

Is Kannaway selling products that are clearly permitted by law? Probably not.  However, the simple fact that they’ve made it this far is proof enough that they aren’t clearly in the wrong either.

The issue is complicated by the fact that legislation on marijuana is conflicting at the state and federal level, and many laws on the books are not entirely clear about whether CBD is a legal product or not—even if marijuana is legal, CBD isn’t the part of it that gets you high.

Consider for a moment that, although there are hundreds if not thousands of legal marijuana dispensaries in states like California, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon, every single one of them is technically illegal at the federal level.

And federal law is supposed to supersede state law…except in this case, the Feds have no desire to get in a dispute with the dozens of states that have legalized or are considering legalizing marijuana for medical or recreational purposes.

At the end of the day, whether Kannaway is worth getting into for you depends on a cost-benefit analysis.

Are you willing to accept the risk that the Feds have a change of heart and come down hard on the company, potentially shutting it down and quashing all of your future earnings?

The payoff for this is entry into a hugely profitable market.  The demand for CBD is only going to increase as more people become aware of its benefits, so the market opportunity is undeniable.

Compensation plan

While their products are very unconventional, the compensation structure for Kannaway is pretty standard.  For a $50 annual fee, you can become a Brand Ambassador (a distributor).

To move up in rank, you need to maintain certain monthly product volumes, but this is not required at the first level of membership.

As a Brand Ambassador, you can earn a retail profit by ordering at wholesale prices, plus a 2% and 3% commission on your first and second-line ambassadors below you, respectively.

Moving up in the ranks enables more levels of commission, as well as additional bonuses.  One good thing is that the product volume required to move up through the ranks is not as high compared to other MLMs.

Recap

Kannaway’s products are high-quality and very transparent about their hemp oil and CBD content.  Their health and beauty products have less of a clear benefit; the real “killer app” is their CBD oil-rich supplements and vaporizer.

There is a definite tradeoff between risk and benefit.  On one hand, the government could shut the whole thing down at any moment.

On the other, it’s got a clear advantage on two fronts over other health and wellness MLMs: first, their product undeniably works for a number of health problems, and second, the market is virtually untapped.

If you are a risk-taker and want to educate more people about the benefits of hemp oil, while making money at the same time, Kannaway is worth a look. That is, if you’re set on going the MLM route.

If you’re simply doing it for the money, there are better ways to kill your day job.
